When I read the title of this post I thought it was going to be about corks & screwtops! Some good advice. I got some amarone recently, I fear it would be infanticide to drink it this year. But great suggestion, with chocolate. Thanks
Tried amaro with dark chocolate on a dessert date with some friends yesterday. Really great, the amaro stands up to and complements chocolate in a way wine can't. Plus I noticed a one or two sneaking second glasses of amaro on its own. Fernet-Branca--the medicinal tinge appeals to some, for sure. Thanks, never would have put this together on my own!
Never knew about Amaro. Looking forward to buying one of the bottles you recommended. Always fun to try something new.
Excellent advice!

Bruce, you misread the article. Amaro is not amarone, as I point out. But if you have a sweet style of amarone it could be fine.
Ooops! Leave to me to screw up!
