I've dabbled lightly in "orange" wine, with some hits and some misses. For an adventurous taster, they can hold some really amazing and unexpected flavors and aromas. Once the fad dies, though, I think they will be a niche product at best. I struggle to pair them with food, and tend to only order them in wine bars where if needed I can simply walk away from the glass!

Keith at Devium made a Rousanne (I believe) that was an orange wine, to me at least! It was one of the more provocative wines I have had from Washington.
