Thanks for spotlighting this winery, Paul, I loved the deeper dive into grazing-based viticulture. I was curious how different their approach is to Big Table Farm (absolutely love their wines). Probably a stupid question, but none of those creatures ever go after the grapes?

FYI, I ordered three bottles, shipping via UPS to Sacramento, CA ranged from $40 for UPS ground to $168 for UPS next day air.

I don't quite grasp the particulars but my understanding is that by the time the grapes are ripe the grazing animals are the clean-up crew chickens and they don't go after grapes. Shipping costs seem a bit high but might reflect the location of the winery, which is kind of the middle of nowhere. As for Big Table, they turned me on to this concept but have found parts of it more than they wish to take on.

Shipping a case to NC is $262. Seriously??

Sorry but I have no clue about NC shipping laws. You might call the winery directly and ask if there is another option.

That is what the winery quoted me. I ordered directly from their site and this was calculated by them. That shipping price is absurd.
