I enjoyed reading the look-back at PNW Chardonnay. I returned to the Chardonnay fold after a few wines sourcing Chard from Celilo and using a deft touch in the winemaking to let the grapes shine.
One question, I was under the impression that Sagemoor owned Southwind. Did they sell/lease a portion to Dusted Valley?
Steve, Dusted Valley lists Southwind as an estate vineyard on their website so I assumed they owned it. You are correct - Sagemoor is the owner; Dusted Valley still sources a lot of the grapes. Thanks for the correction!
Great selection of Oregon wineries! I completely agree that people shouldn't write off Chardonnay until they have tried it from the Pacific Northwest!
Your perspective is valuable even to non-wine readers.
We love your work Paul and you are spot on with the Walter Scott synopsis.
